Tanknology Canada dedicates its resources to precision testing and evaluation of underground and aboveground storage tank systems throughout Canada. Leaking tanks threaten groundwater quality and create health and other hazards. A Canadian owned company, Tanknology originated as a joint project between a major Canadian oil company and the Federal Government to develop a convenient and inexpensive leak test for storage tanks that was not affected by the limitations of existing technologies. The inventor, Edwin Adams, of Edmonton, Alberta, developed a system which quickly became the industry standard for precision and convenience. Mr. Adams' system is now the most widely-used testing method around the world.
